Dogs are a lot like humans and can easily fit into a family structure. Like humans they need structure and order. Being pack animals, understanding their role in the pack, family, it vital to a healthy and happy relationship. Some problems you may experience with your dog are: - Rivalry - Destructive behavior - Fears, phobias, Anxiety - Excessive barking - Aggression - House training Remember that your dog is acting in a natural way, even if it doesn't seem like it. Your dog is responding to a situation or threat in the only way it knows how. Do not ever resort to violence, even a tap on the nose as this may only make the problem worse. Always make sure you have contacted you veterinarian before contacting any behavior expert in order to rule out any medical issues that may be causing the problem. |
