Small-spotted Genet
Genetta genetta

While cat-like in a appearance,  genets are not related to cats.  They are related to civets and have  wide range throughout most of Africa and even into Southern Europe.

Genets are extremely agile and can climb trees with ease.  They have small feet with retractable claws. They are nocturnal carnivores the eat a variety of small animals and insects.  Protective of their food, genets often retreat with their prey to a safe, secure spot to eat it.
