Kinkajou
Potos flavus

With their cute bulging eyes and relatively large ears and nose, kinkajous are nocturnal as they only come out at night.  During the day they are hard to find as they are often curled up asleep in the hollow of a tree.  They are in the raccoon family but fill the same ecological niche as monkeys, except that monkeys are out during the day and kinkajous are out at night.

With grasping hands and feet and a prehensile tail with which they can hold onto branches, kinkajous are well adapted to climbing trees and hanging from branches in order to reach their favorite tropical fruits.
