All domesticated rabbits, approximately 80 different varieties, are descended from the European rabbit and can vary greatly in size (Flemish giants to dwarf bunnies), fur type (angora to short hair), color, and general appearance (lop-eared to short-eared). While originating from a small region in France, people have taken the rabbits to every continent except Antarctica. |
