Volunteer Application Procedures

ANIMALIA Volunteer Application
- ANIMALIA
Staff will contact each applicant to inform them if volunteer positions are
currently available and/or to schedule an interview.
- Attend a Volunteer
Interview - The screening interview allows the staff of ANIMALIA to
learn as much as possible about the person's interests, experiences, and
motivation and to assess the needs and expectations of ANIMALIA at that
time. Candidates will review liability paperwork and go on a short
facility tour.
Selection Procedures:
- Candidates will be
contacted by ANIMALIA to be informed of selection/non-selection.
- If candidates are
selected, they will be required to get a limited criminal history check
from
the police and will need to have a Tuberculosis (TB) test conducted at their
doctor’s office.
- On the first day,
Volunteers will receive a Safety Orientation.
Uniforms
– while all Volunteers are welcome to purchase an ANIMALIA uniform shirt, only
those that will be assisting on Education Outreach Programs are required to
purchase a shirt.
