Leopard Gecko

Eublepharis macularius

This gecko gets its name from the leopard like spots covering its body.  Like many spotted animals, the spots break up the outline of the body to help it blend in or camouflage to its habitat.  This helps the leopard gecko hunt its prey (insects) and also hide from predators.
